✦ Coat variants: Duskborn, Dawnkissed, and the Starlit chase
Every one of the 29 Glimkin species can wear four coats: Common, Duskborn (twilight-tinted), Dawnkissed (sunrise-warm), and Starlit — the rare one that sheds its own starlight. That's 116 combinations in the Glimkpedia's coat dex.
The odds
Coats are rolled when a Glim Egg hatches: 70% Common, 15% Duskborn, 12% Dawnkissed, 3% Starlit. Every hatch is a fresh roll — the mystery of what's inside (species AND coat) is the whole thrill of the Stable.
Where eggs come from
Eggs are earned, never sold: the Wishing Well returns one on roughly 1-in-8 spins, every weekly quest pays one, the 8-hour Grand Expedition finds one nearly half the time (with a small double-egg jackpot), and the daily circuit spots — the Snoring Geode's hoard, the Starfall Shrine, the tide's Lost & Found — all have egg outcomes.
The Prism Brush — the other path
The museum-rare Prism Brush repaints a Glimkin you ALREADY love in a new coat, spent on use. Brushes only appear in jackpot slots: the Starfall Shrine (about 1 in 200 wishes), the Ember Wheel's impossible seam, and under the Snoring Geode's paw. When a keeper finds one, the whole meadow hears about it in the whispers feed.
Quick answers
What are the odds of hatching a Starlit Glimkin?
3% per egg. Starlit hatches announce themselves with a glowing RARE banner and the hatchling sheds innate starlight from then on.
Can I change my Glimkin's coat after hatching?
Only with a Prism Brush — a museum-rare jackpot item from the Starfall Shrine, Ember Wheel, and Snoring Geode. It repaints your active Glimkin and is consumed on use.
Do coats affect stats or battles?
No — coats are pure prestige. A Starlit fights exactly like a Common; it just looks like a piece of the night sky doing it.
